Ben Simmons loves women

With less than a week left before the NBA trade deadline, the whole basketball world is still obsessed with the strange saga of Ben Simmons. At this point, we all know the story. Simmons never learned how to shoot, it continuously cost his team, his coaches asked him to learn how to shoot, and Simmons has sat out the whole year in protest of such a demeaning request.

Will he be traded by the Thursday deadline? لعبة كريكت Who knows? What’s more interesting is the number of fines Simmons has racked up during his bizarre protest. As of February 1, Ben has forfeited over 20 million dollars… All because he doesn’t think basketball players should be forced to shoot. Knowing that no one in their right mind would give up all that money for such a stupid reason, I went searching for an explanation in the place that only has reliable sources, NBA Twitter.

After 45 minutes of scrolling through threads that ranged from ‘Ben Simmons is the Anti-Christ’ to ‘Ben Simmons is trying to join the Illuminati and his sit-out is a strange form of hazing,’ I was about to give up. اندرويد كازينو Then I saw this:

There it was! McGee-Stafford (a former WNBA player and current Australian league star), had inadvertently uncovered Simmons’s altruistic motive for his basketball boycott. Ben Simmons has been forfeiting his salary so that the 76ers can quietly a startup fund for a new WNBA team in Philadelphia! (probably).

As I kept digging, the signs all pointed to this conclusion. The WNBA had recently closed on $75 million funding, which is the largest capital raise in women’s sports history. Further, a random Twitter account even posted the jerseys for a potential Philly WNBA team! If that’s not convincing evidence I don’t know what is. العاب تجيب فلوس Clearly, Simmons’s fines are being used to help the WNBA expand to Philadelphia with Ben’s blessing.

So there you have it. Ben Simmons has sat out and left his teammates in the lurch for the sake of progress in Women’s basketball. It is the only logical explanation. No way that Ben Simmons is such a psychopath that he would willingly give up $20 mil just because someone asked him to do his job better. What a guy.

As an Eagles fan, the football season is over. What a horrible year it’s been. Luckily, now it’s a new year (not football, but close enough). I won’t be watching any of these games, but here’s how they’ll play out just in case you want to watch them. Also looking back, I highly suggest not trying to pick every single game. It is truly exhausting.

Vikings @ Lions (MIN -4.5)

Where Zimmer will be coaching from this week

In one of the many games that don’t matter this week, two NFC North teams square off in what is more of a formality than an exciting football game. Stafford will probably not be playing and if the Vikings were smart they’d sit Cousins too. Not to preserve his health, but just because he stinks and shouldn’t be a starting quarterback.

PICK: Vikings 25, Lions 24

Cowboys @ Giants (DAL -1.5)

I hate Dallas

Both of these teams started off the season 2-7…. Yet here they both are with a chance to win the division in Week 17. Truly the most disgusting story of the season is the dreadful NFC East. Anyways, the last thing anyone wants to see is the Cowboys in the playoffs. For the sake of America, the Giants win.

PICK: Cowboys 13, Giants 24

Steelers @ Browns (CLE -9.5)

It’s about to happen

In what can only be described as the most Browns thing of all time, they lost last week against the Jets to put their playoff chances in jeopardy. Yes, the Steelers will be sitting Big Ben, but this could be problematic for the Browns. When Myles Garrett sees Rudolph on the field, he might lose his cool and decide to finish the job. Rudolph gets knocked out in the first half, but Garrett gets ejected from the game which costs the Browns who lose and miss the playoffs. Classic Cleveland.

PICK: Steelers 31, Browns 20

Dolphins @ Bills (BUF -1.5)

Good guy^ – Click above to check out this week’s TIL

In what can only be described as unbelivable, the only AFC East matchup that matters on Sunday does not involve the Patriots. No matter how bad this year has been it’s been amazing to revel in the misery that the Patriots have suffered this year. What’s also has been fun is the Fitzmagic! Yes, he’s out this week with COVID, but the ghost of Fitz will help Tua find the win he needs to get Miami into the playoffs.

PICK: We all win!

Jets @ Patriots (NE -3)

Tough to win when Cam’s your QB

Speaking of the Patriots! Wow! They really are horrendous. They don’t have a quarterback on the roster who can throw the ball further than 10 yards down the field. On the other side of the field, the Jets were on pace to be the worst team ever, until they decided not to be. I predict they end the season with a 3 game winning streak after starting the season with a 13 game losing streak. That seems fitting.

PICK: Jets 31, Patriots 23

Falcons @ Buccaneers (TB -6.5)

Sorry, guys

Looks like Tom Brady is about to get the last laugh, as he’s taking Tampa to the playoffs, while the Patriots have to watch the post season from their couch. Tough break for America, but we will recover. On the other side, the Falcons have had another tough year, obviously still not having recovered from that Super Bowl they lost 4 years ago. However! In this meaningless game, Matty Ice gets some revenge on Brady. Too bad it doesn’t mean anything.

PICK: Falcons 30, Bucs 27

Ravens @ Bengals (BAL -13.5)

“I didn’t poop myself, yo”

The Ravens are still not a lock to make the playoffs, but the league’s hottest team is one win away from punching their ticket. There’s no reason to think that this game will be close, as after Lamar’s #2 incident, he’s out to prove to the league that he’s #1. The only way for the world to forget about that crappy situation is if he wins a Super Bowl so you know he’s extra motivated.

PICK: Ravens 35, Bengals 6

Titans @ Texans (TEN -7.5)

Crown them.

The Titans have a pretty simple formula on Sunday, win and they’re AFC South champs. Lose, and if things break the wrong way they could miss the playoffs entirely. That’s a lot of pressure, but it’s kind of hard to mess up just handing off the ball to Henry. I don’t think they’ll blow out Houston who got called out in a J.J. Watt press conference, but they’ll win for sure.

PICK: Titans 24, Texans 20

Packers @ Bears (GB -4)

lol, Rex Grossman

Believe it or not, the Bears actually have a chance to make the playoffs after having a 6-game losing streak in the middle of their season. The Packers are locked in as the 1-seed, so you’d expect them to rest some players, but they do hate the Bears and could just decide to destroy their season. I want to believe that a team with a 6-game losing streak shouldn’t be in the playoffs, but it’s 2020, so I fully expect the Bears to win and sneak in.

PICK: Packers 20, Bears 23

Seahawks @ 49ers (SEA -6.5)

Wait, my team’s in last now?

Another game that doesn’t really matter. The Seahawks are in, the 49ers are out. Pete Carrol gets to laugh at Richard Sherman, and the 49ers get to question that giant contract they gave to Jimmy G. Although it doesn’t matter, this is still a big rivalry game, and I expect it to be close. Seahawks win, but don’t cover.

PICK: Seahawks 27, 49ers 25

Chargers @ Chiefs (LAC -4)

He’s got his PHD in choking

I rubbed my eyes in disbelief when I saw that the Chargers were favored against the Chiefs on the road. Then I remembered that the Chiefs have locked up the 1-seed and will probably be resting all of their starters. Now would be the perfect time for Herbert to get his first and probably only career win agains the Chiefs. However, I think they somehow choke it away.

PICK: Chargers 31, Chiefs 34

Jaguars @ Colts (IND -14.5)

The Jag’s season in a nutshell

The Jaguars successfully finished their tank job last week. In a game that had their own fans cheering the opposing team for scoring touchdowns, the Jaguars solidified their top pick, and will most likely draft Trevor Lawrence. So much for Minshew Mania. *shrug* The Colts, on the other hand, need a win to get into the playoffs (and a little help). I’m already predicting that the Browns will lose, so fortunately for the Colts, they won’t have the dubious distinction of wining 11 games and still missing the playoffs.

PICK: Jaguars 10, Colts 34

Saints @ Panthers (NO -5.5)

Shout out Muhsin Muhammad!

This is yet another game that doesn’t really mean anything. Nobody ever talks about how 80% of games on Week 17 might as well be preseason games. Oh well, I’m not gonna waste too much time on it. Saints win on a field goal in the end.

PICK: Saints 34, Panthers 31

Football Team @ Eagles (WAS -4)

Will he still get an NFC East Championship hat?

Well, this year has been a disaster. Now that we’re eliminated, the Eagles win by losing. In a rare moment, it’s best for the team to just lie down and take a dive. Also, if they lose, they guarantee that Dallas is eliminated. That would be a nice parting gift for the season. For those reasons, I’m picking against the Birds for the first time all season. It hurts now, but it’s for their own good.

PICK: Football Team 28, Eagles 17

It’s been a long year of football. Each week, I’ve given you a pick for every single football game, and I haven’t received a single thank you. You’re all a bunch of monsters, and I hope you nothing but a crappy holiday and horrible 2021. With that said, here are more of my picks!

Lions @ Buccaneers (TB -9.5)

It feels as though the Bucs only play bad teams this year. I think this is a conspiracy to make Tom Brady look good. For all the hype surrounding Tampa this year, they really only look like an average team. Sure, they’ll make the playoffs, but they won’t make a deep run. Sure, they’ll win this week, but they won’t cover.

PICK: Lions 23, Bucs 30

Dolphins @ Raiders (MIA -3)

Wow! Marcus Mariota is cake too!

This is a huge match-up for Pacific Islanders! If Marcus Mariota gets the start, it’ll be the first NFL game where both starting quarterbacks are Pacific Islanders. What some are already dubbing the “Moana Bowl” is crucial for playoff seedings. If the Raiders lose, they’re eliminated. If the Dolphins lose, they’re as good as eliminated. Hmmmm… I don’t see the Dolphins in the playoffs so we’re going with Vegas!

PICK: Dolphins 23, Raiders 24

Colts @ Steelers (IND -1.5)

Life comes at you fat. I mean fast. I said fast!

I heard they’re going to reboot Footloose again. This time JuJu Smith-Schuster will be staring in a football adaptation. A man who only has dance in his heart is forced to stop by a mean old coach (played by Mike Tomlin). Drama ensues, and a 3-game losing streak turns into a moment that shows that in the NFL, wins and losses don’t matter, only the quality of your TikTok videos.

PICK: Colts 31, Steelers 20

Bills @ Patriots (BUF -7)

You do the crimes, you get slime!

I can’t believe I lived long enough to see the Patriots out of the playoffs again. Truly a magical time to be alive. Instead of dwelling on the horrible things in 2020, we should focus on the positives! For example, the Patriots dynasty is over, and the year is almost over! This seems to be a game where the Bills can really rub it in to make up for the last 20 years of torture by whooping the Pats into the new year. Bills big.

PICK: Bills 31, Patriots 10

Rams @ Seahawks (SEA -1.5)

Here are two stand up guys!

Did the Jaguars pay the Rams to take a dive on Sunday for the number 1 pick? That’s honestly the only explanation I can come up with to explain how they lost to the Jets. An all around awful performance by the Rams ruined every Jets’ fan’s Christmas by taking away the chance to draft Trevor Lawrence. Oh well. Always next year, Jets! Anyways, this game will pretty much decide the NFC West. Seahawks have the better quarterback, so I’m going with them.

PICK: Rams 27, Seahawks 30

Vikings @ Saints (NO -7)

That spot on his face is the Saints’ playoff performances. Tough not to notice.

In other sinking NFC team news, the Saints have lost 2 straight and seem destined to finish as the 2 seed in the NFC. In every year before, this would still be good enough for a bye, but now that 7 teams from each conference make the playoffs, the 2 seed has to play in the first round. This is bad news for the Saints who are notorious playoff chokers. They’re gonna end their losing streak, but it won’t stop them from making a quick exit in the playoffs.

PICK: Vikings 17, Saints 23

49ers @ Cardinals (ARZ -5)

Lol, remember when they crushed the Cowboys?

Wow, hard to believe that less than a year ago, the 49ers had a 4th quarter lead in the Super Bowl… Now they’re officially eliminated from the playoffs, and have three 3rd string quarterbacks rotating playing time for the sake of fairness (yes, I’m counting Jimmy G, come at me). It seems as though the Cardinals are going to sneak into the playoffs, and if match up against a struggling team like the Saints or Rams, I like Arizona bigger than Kyler Murray is small.

PICK: 49ers 14, Cardinals 38

Falcons @ Chiefs (KC -10.5)

damn.

I read an article about that Younghoe Koo kid. Great inspirational story, but it completely ignores how handsome he is! Has there ever been a better looking kicker? I did some research, and yup, it turns out that he is in fact the most handsome kicker of all time. This a huge win for the Falcons, and probably the only win they’ll have for the rest of 2020.

PICK: Falcons 13, Chiefs 31

Browns @ Jets (CLE -9.5)

A simpler time

2020 has been the best year for Cleveland in a long time. Besides the fact that their sports teams suck, it’s a town with very little to do. Now, in 2020 not only are the Browns good, but you’re supposed to stay at home! Perfect for people who live in Cleveland with nothing to do.

PICK: Browns 31, Jets 12

Bears @ Jaguars (CHI -7.5)

Just for this week!

If Garnder Minshew is playing, he will have all the motivation in the world to win. Why? Because if the Jaguars lose out, they’ll have the first pick in the draft, and most likely take his replacement. The Bears shockingly enough still have a chance to make it in the playoffs. I don’t know who’s gonna win, so I’m gonna go with the upset! Go Jags!

PICK: Bears 20, Jaguars 27

Giants @ Ravens (BAL -11)

When I was in my younger, more formable years, Colt McCoy was drafted to save the Browns franchise. Even more, he signed an exclusive deal with Sketchers to be the face of velcro shoes (not kidding). Now what seems to be 20 years later, he is starting for the Giants. And old enough to once again wear velcro shoes That does not bode well for the other team in New York. Baltimore has to keep winning to stay in the hunt. They’re gonna win big.

PICK: Giants 13, Ravens 34

Bengals @ Texans (HOU -8)

In the Who Gives A Crap Game of the Week, two teams that don’t matter face off to play in a game that under 100 people will watch. Including the players of both teams. In honor of that sub 100 person viewing audience, I’m keeping this pick under 100 letters!

PICK: Bengals 24, Texans 29

Denver @ Chargers (LAC -3)

Herbie fully-loaded

The Chargers finally won’t close game! Yes, they missed two game-winning field goals, but they held the Raiders out of the endzone and won in overtime! Looks like the Chargers have finally gotten over the choking hump right? WRONG! I predict a choke job this week out of nowhere! Just for old time’s sake! Drew Lock steals the show too!

PICK: Broncos 31, Chargers 28

Panthers @ Football Team (WAS -2)

Sad

I want to talk a bit about Dwayne Haskins. Finally, he gets a chance to start again, and he decides to go to a strip club… MASKLESS! Dude, c’mon! It’s 2020. No one cares if you’re in the strip club, but you need to be masked up. If there’s any place a mask would be extremely useful it would be there. Pandemic or not. Now, he’s been fined by the Football Team, and even worse stripped of the C on his jersey. So sad. Hope it was worth it for him.

PICK: Panthers 27, Football Team 23

Eagles @ Cowboys (PHI -2.5)

This sums up 2020

These two teams come into the matchup at 4-9-1, and 5-9 respectfully. Despite both of these dismal records, a win could get both one step closer to a NFC East title. Whether it’s fair or not, who cares? Life’s not fair. Get over it, you cry babies. Also because of all the hate, it’s pretty obvious that whoever comes out of the NFC East is going to win a playoff game or two. MY prediction is that team is destined to be the Eagles! Go Birds!

PICK: Eagles 42, Cowboys 10

Titans @ Packers (GB -3.5)

Beast

The best team in the NFC who just happens to have the MVP (Yes I said it, Rodgers deserves is), can seal the top spot with a win against the Titans. The problem is, the Titans are desperate for a win as well. In my big upset pick of the week, I’m calling a Titans upset, where King Henry racks up another 200 yards rushing. Titan Up!

PICK: Titans 35, Packers 32

P.S. This song slaps.

After a three month vacation in Disney World, the stars of the NBA received some much deserved time off. Now that twelve-day break is over as the NBA season tips off tonight! افضل طريقة للعب الروليت Exciting and perfect timing for football fans who’s teams are eliminated or about to be! (Go Birds.) This year is sure to be an exciting one and without a bubble, who knows what will go down?! There’s a lot of mystery about how this odd season will play out, but here’s a guide to the top storylines that you should be watching for!

The Crown Weighs Heavy

Bold look from a B(old) man

Let’s start at the top. At the conclusion of last season, the Los Angeles Lakers were crowned champions for the first time in 10 years. I’m sure you’ve heard Cowboys fans bragging about it. I will say, it was only fitting that they finished on top this year to honor the life of Kobe. Now they ride into this season as overwhelming favorites to repeat, and no matter how good King James is, you know the pressure is immense. Especially with a team that is only satisfied with three-peats. Yes, they are the most talented team in the league, but Lebron is now 36, and father time has been known to strike quickly and unexpectedly.

James Harden Is Fat

Fat James and his new trim teammate

In my favorite news of the offseason, the Rockets fired their coach, general manager, and traded away Russell Westbrook in an attempt to rebuild around James Harden. Keyword: a round James Harden. Unfortunately, Harden was not on board for this plan and demanded a trade. العاب بوكر للكبار The Rockets remain in talks with several teams, but a trade hasn’t happened which severely dismayed James. To show his displeasure, he stopped working out and drank at every strip club in H-Town. In the end, he showed up to the Rockets’ first preseason game 40 lbs overweight. Hilarious stuff that almost broke the internet. Will James Harden be traded? Probably a fat chance.

Russ in the Capital

I’m ready for the political beef

Speaking of Westbrook, he is now playing for the Washington Wizards. It’ll be interesting to see how he meshes on the court with Bradley Beal, but I’m more intrigued with how Russ will be off the court. Russ is now the biggest star in DC, and you just know Trump will probably throw shade on his way out if he has a bad game or two. As the angriest player in the NBA, I don’t think he’ll shy away from jabbing back. Which would make for grade-A Internet drama. Bold prediction, the last public spat Trump has as president will be with the point guard for the Wizards, and I’m here for it with popcorn in hand.

New Coach, Who Dis?

Look! A real coach in Philadelphia!

After I wrote over a dozen articles on this site about how horrible a coach Brett Brown was, the 76ers finally fired him and installed Doc Rivers to take his place. After being the most disappointing team in the league this year it’ll be interesting to see how the Sixers respond to having an actual coach, instead a bumbling idiot who no one can understand due to his insane accent. Will the Sixers be the team to beat in the East? Will Simmons finally develop a jumper? Will they trade for fat James Harden? Who knows, but anything that will get my mind off of the state of the Eagles is a welcome distraction.

Battle of the GOATs

The royal family of basketball

Now, when I say the GOATS I’m obviously talking about Michael Jordan and Lavar Ball. Ball, who famously told Stephen A. Smith that he would take Jordan in a game of 1-on-1 and then saw his youngest son Lamelo get drafted 3rd overall by the Charlotte Hornets, who just happen to be owned by Michael Jordan. If the season doesn’t start, well I imagine Papa Ball going to the media to talk about how he’d be a better owner than Jordan. This would set off the most interesting thing to happen in North Carolina since the Wright Brothers took flight!

Is it Kyrie or Cryrie?

Kyrie doesn’t have time for pawns, only rooks

In “why are you still talking?” news, Kyrie Irving has announced that he will not be talking to the media this year. After being fined $25k for not talking to the media because it’s literally a part of his job, Kyrie doubled down stating in a post that he does not waste his time talking to pawns. Uhmmm… Ok bro. I don’t know who hurt you, but seriously reporters are just trying to do their jobs. No one’s out to get you. Even so, if you really don’t want to talk to the media just look to Marshawn Lynch for inspiration and answer every question, “I’m just here so I won’t be fined.” No reason to be so uppity about it.

Are the Jazz in Harmony?

Don’t cough on me, bro

Do you remember where you were the evening of March 11th, 2020? I do, I was at the World Cafe Live with my girlfriend and a few friends watching some live music. All of a sudden, my phone started blowing up. In a matter of 15 minutes, Rudy Gobert had successfully suspended the NBA season by coughing all over a press conference, and then testing positive for COVID-19. He then spread the virus to Donovan Mitchell which caused beef. Apparently that beef is now squashed, but I’m not convinced. People don’t just forgive people for giving them covid. And/or coughing on them. Look for trouble in Utah.

And Obviously… Corona

The NBA did a great job finishing their season in the Disney bubble. Now we’ll see if they can pull it off in the real world. The limited number of players on each team makes it really difficult to push through games if outbreaks arise, and it’ll be interesting to see what contingency plans the NBA has in place just in case they have to cancel a few games. Obviously I’d like to see a smooth season with no problems, but I wouldn’t put my money on it. سباق خيل

There you have it, the top storylines for what promises to be another riveting season of NBA basketball. These types of posts aren’t complete without a bold championship prediction so I’ll leave you with this.

The Philadelphia 76ers will beat the Los Angeles Clippers in 6 games to win the title. #TTP.

In 2009, the Boise State Broncos defeated TCU in the Fiesta Bowl to end their year. This win solidified a 14-0 season to cap off an impressive 4-year run of 52-3. Over that span, they also had another undefeated season in 2006 that ended in an upset win against Oklahoma. However, they never had a chance to compete for a national title. This drew outrage around the country as people demanded a change to to the BCS system to something that would give more teams a chance.

Nothing better than watching the Broncos play on the Blue turf.

That change came in 2013-2014 season when the College Football Playoff was introduced. Unless you’re a toddler reading this blog right now, you should remember. Now, four teams had a chance, and a committee of humans would determine the top-four teams instead of a computer, because we all know humans are much more fair than robots! No longer would dominant teams be denied the chance to play for a championship just because they came out of a small conference!! Justice was finally served! There was just one tiny problem… It was all a lie.

Since the change to the playoff, there have been 6 undefeated small conference champions entering Selection Sunday (not including this year), all 5 have been shut out. This year, #8 Cincinnati and #12 Costal Carolina (Go Chants!) both went undefeated and were denied a chance to compete. The CFP even had the nerve to rank multiple 2 loss teams in front of Cincinnati even though the Bearcats had three (3!) ranked wins (one more than #3 Ohio St). Also, to avoid any further controversy, they didn’t even match up Cincinnati with a team ranked ahead of them, and instead matched them up with Georgia in the Peach Bowl. Not only were they unjustly snubbed, they were given essentially a road game as their Bowl to really stack the deck against them.

Seems nice… in theory.

An even greater crime was committed against the Costal Carolina Chanticleers (again, Go Chants!), who went 11-0 with 2 ranked wins. They finished the season ranked 12th and get the honor of playing in the (goes through list of obscure bowl games) the Cure Auto Insurance Bowl?! Sweet. What makes this ranking even more disturbing is that Iowa St. is ranked 2 spots ahead of them with 3 losses…

A closer look reveals that one of Iowa State’s losses was to Louisiana-Lafayette in Week 1 where they lost 31-13 at home. Funny enough, Costal Carolina beat Louisiana-Lafayette a few weeks later… Even with this common opponent, the CFP committee still felt as though Iowa State was a better team. To that decision, I call absolute shenanigans.

Look: Fans Are Ripping College Football Playoff Committee's Setup
A blurry pic of the committe with masks on so they can rig the sport and not be identified

When deciding on their rankings with close teams, the CFP committee states they follow this criteria to make a determination;

When circumstances at the margins indicate that teams are comparable, then the following criteria must be considered:

Championships won

Strength of schedule

Head‐to‐head competition (if it occurred)

Comparative outcomes of common opponents (without incenting margin of victory)

Selection Committee Protocols

After yesterday’s rankings, it’s quite clear that the CFP committee has gone rogue, and has decided to ignore their protocols and just give big name schools better rankings regardless of their resume. It’s really a shame that 12 old men in a hotel ballroom are denying the country a chance to see the best teams compete for a national title. Of course at the end of the day it comes down to money, but if we truly ever want to see a legitmate college football playoff system, it’s obvious that we need more change.

I’m what most people would consider a “Scrooge.” I war with Christmas every year, and truly feel it’s the worst time of the year due to the lack of sun, fake cheer, and horrible holiday movies/music. Even though “Grinch” is a more appropriate insult since Scrooge was simply a greedy jerk who had an epiphany during the holiday season, whereas the Grinch truly hated Christmas. Whatever. Well, in the hopes of my heart growing 3 sizes this day, each pick will include what one of the teams want most for Xmas!

Chargers @ Raiders (LV -3)

Ew.

The Raiders want an owner who doesn’t terrify little children just by merely existing for Christmas. Al Davis was a scary man as well, but his son Mark is just disturbing. Something about those outfits mixed with his horrible haircut sends a tingle down my spine. Billionaires should really do better.

PICK: Chargers 20, Raiders 27

Bills @ Broncos (BUF -6.5)

Buffalo’s head over heels for Josh! Do you get it?

The Bills want an AFC East Title for Christmas. This one is easy. Like the spoiled brat crying for a PS5, there’s NOTHING in the world that the Bills want more. In fact they need it! Fun fact, in my 25 years on this Earth, the Bills have not won a division title. That’s right folks, the Bills haven’t won the division since the 1994-95 season. This year it seems like a lock, but I’m not going to put a jinx on a franchise that lost 4 straight Super Bowls. Oof.

PICK: Bills 34, Broncos 20

Panthers @ Packers (GB -8.5)

The perfect stats for a sitcom!

The Panthers want a sitcom with Robbie Anderson and Sir Purr for Christmas. What started earlier in the season with receiver Robbie Anderson confusing the Panther for a Bear gained traction for a few weeks, but died off. Based off of the Panthers season this year, this was bad news. I want to pitch a Full House-style show staring Anderson and Sir Purr. It’d at least be better than watching the football team.

PICK: Panthers 13, Packers 31

49ers @ Cowboys (SF -3)

Absolutely disgusting.

The Cowboys want to not be hated by all true blooded Americans for Christmas. Normally, I feel bad for individuals who feel like outcasts. In these trying times, it’s important to stick together. With that being said, screw the Cowboys and their fans. They’ve reaped what they have sowed and deserve all the spite directed at them.

PICK: 49ers 31, Cowboys 13

Seahawks @ Football Team (SEA -5)

Poor guy. Well, really rich poor guy.

The Seahawks want Russ to win an MVP for Christmas. Poor guy will spend his whole career finished 2nd, kinda like Drew Brees. Don’t look now, but the Seahawks are probably not going to win their own division. People have been laughing at the NFC East, but the Football Team is on a 4-game winning streak. I think this will be a close one.

PICK: Seahawks 31, Football Team 28

Bears @ Vikings (MIN -3)

Poor Mitch.

The Bears want a coach who knows what he’s doing for Christmas. The Bears have gone back to Mitch as the starter just in time for them to pretend like they’re still in the playoff hunt. It really makes you wonder how many wins they’d have if they had a coach who didn’t pull the plug on an undefeated quarterback… Get rid of this guy, Chicago. His lasting legacy will be the meme of his face after the Double Doink. Horrible look for the Windy City.

PICK: Bears 13, Vikings 24

Patriots @ Dolphins (MIA -2)

It’s a metaphor

The Patriots want a time machine to go back to 2000 for Christmas. Really feels as if the dynasty has come to an end, and it must be tough for those in the Northeast. I would feel bad, but they were cheaters who never got punished, so screw those guys. Don’t cry because it’s over, New England. Smile because it happened.

PICK: Patriots 20, Dolphins 27

Jaguars @ Ravens (BAL -13)

5 years later and now they have 3!

The Jaguars want Blake Bortles back for Christmas. Ok, they probably don’t, but I do, and it can’t get worse! Bring back Bortles and maybe you bring back the wins. It’s pretty obvious that Minshew is only good for cool facial hair… Maybe he can be the new mascot and Bortles can lead the team back to 6 wins! YAY!

PICK: Jaguars 13, Ravens 34

Buccaneers @ Falcons (TB -6)

Really tough times in Atlanta.

The Falcons want to stop choking for Christmas. A simple request, but it would help the good people of Atlanta. Even with them firmly out of the playoff hunt, they are finding new ways to devastate their fans. That loss against the Chargers last week was something truly horrible. I’m praying for them, but the Falcons will need a Christmas miracle for their wish to come true.

PICK: Bucs 28, Falcons 24

Lions @ Titans (TEN -11)

We like Derrick too!

The Titans want recognition for Derrick Henry for Christmas. Not that anyone outside of Nashville has noticed, but King Henry is having an all-time great season. He has rushed for 100 yards in a game 8 times this season, with two 200-yard games. He needs to average around 150 yards a game to get to 2,000 yards and it’s totally doable looking at the cakewalk schedule the Titans have left. In a league that has all but abandoned the run, a 2,000 yard season is amazing. He really should be in the MVP race.

PICK: Lions 13, Titans 34

Texans @ Colts (IND -7)

Good Spunk joke Gator!

The Colts want a quarterback who isn’t washed up for Christmas. The Colts are probably going to make the playoffs this year, but they won’t go far with Rivers as his quarterback. He just doesn’t have the spunk to do it anymore. Probably cause he had 9 kids. Tough stuff. I love their defense but Phillip is a liability.

PICK: Texans 20, Colts 28

Eagles @ Cardinals (ARZ -6)

We’re ready to scrap for the playoffs!

The Cardinals want to not be playing in the NFC West for Christmas. At 7-6 they’re in the hunt for a wild card. If they were playing the NFC East, they’d be on top of the division. Tough break for the red birds. Speaking of birds, GO BIRDS. We’re the only picks on the internet (I think) to pick the Eagles straight up last week, so your welcome America. These picks are truly fuego.

PICK: Eagles 31, Cardinals 24

Jets @ Rams (LAR -17)

Pain.

The Jets want Trevor Lawrence for Christmas. There is no other reason as to why they would be losing every game in such horrible fashion. The problem with tanking in the NFL is that even if you do get a game changing quarterback, you still need to block for him or he will not last a season (cough Joe Burrow cough). Knowing the Jets, they’ll get the first pick and Lawrence will decide to stay at Clemson for his senior year.

PICK: Jets 10, Rams 37

Chiefs @ Saints (KC -3)

Probably going to be a repeat.

The Saints want a backup quarterback who isn’t a gimmick for Christmas. The Taysom Hill experiment hit a snag when they were upset by the Eagles (Go Birds!). It’s really tough to win games in the NFL when your quarterback is classified as a tight end on ESPN fantasy. They better hope Brees is back in time for this week, because if they don’t have a real quarterback going against the Chiefs, they’re going to be run out of the building.

PICK: Chiefs 34, Saints 20

Browns @ Giants (CLE -5)

Should have locked him in the toilet.

The Browns want better locks on their bathroom toilets for Christmas. In the game of the year, the Browns were so close to taking down the Ravens, but were sunk when Lamar Jackson came back from the bathroom. Better locks and maybe he gets stuck in there and Cleveland pulls off the upset. Should’ve, could’ve, would’ve.

PICK: Browns 23, Giants 20

Steelers @ Bengals (PIT -12.5)

Not so easy anymore for Pittsburgh.

The Steelers want crappy teams to beat up on. After starting the season 11-0, the Steelers have now lost two straight after playing decent competition. Good news for them is that they get to play the crappy Bengals this week. I don’t even know who they’re starting at quarterback, but it won’t matter. They’re going to get crushed. Might as well bring back Carson Palmer for the start for old times sake.

PICK: Steelers 35, Bengals 11

I think everyone knows that I’m an Eagles fan. As such, my life right now is not great. Our moron coach broke our franchise quarterback, I have a law final tomorrow, and there’s a global pandemic that’s killing thousands of people a day. Plus the holidays are the worst time of the year. People who love Christmas, are the bane of my existence. Take your fake cheer elsewhere, or go volunteer at a food kitchen. You shoving your stupid holiday crap in my face is not doing anything but making you feel better. Why don’t you grow up and just drink like the rest of us. Dumb assholes. Here’s a bunch of picks for games that may or may not happen due to COVID.

Patriots @ Rams (LAR -6)

Can’t believe this man is back in the playoff hunt

Just when you leave them for dead, the Patriots keep finding a way to win ball games. It seems as though there’s some dark magic going on in Foxborough. Now we have a Thursday night matchup between the two teams who gave us the worst Super Bowl ever two years ago. I think this year’s version will be even more boring, as now the Patriots have a quarterback who can’t throw for more than 100 yards. Fun.

PICK: Patriots 9, Rams 3

Titans @ Jaguars (TEN -7.5)

I imagine this happening a few times on Sunday

Oof. Not a good look for the Titans to give up 4 first half touchdowns to Baker Mayfield (a truly horrible quarterback). The Jaguars have lost 11 straight, but I’m pretty sure they’ve covered in every single loss (don’t check me on that). Strange matchup. Let’s take the Titans to win and the Jaguars to cover.

PICK: Titans 27, Jaguars 24

Cardinals @ Giants (ARZ -2.5)

We’re not giving up on you Kyler!

Everyone who knew the Giants were going to beat the Seahawks with Colt McCoy raise your hand… Now put them down, you dirty liars. What a world we live in that Colt McCoy is still winning NFL games. Crazy stuff. Also, fun fact, the Cardinals are 0-3 since their miracle win against Buffalo. Giants are hot, Cardinals are cold, so logic would state that the Giants will win. We’re picking the Cardinals.

PICK: Cardinals 24, Giants 20

Chiefs @ Dolphins (KC -7)

The leader of the best team in football

Did anyone see that Tyreek Hill touchdown that wasn’t a touchdown? Damn, that’s probably the greatest catch that never was. You know the Chiefs are really good when they’re receiver catches a touchdown, and doesn’t beg the coach to challenge the call… Seriously we’ve all seen receivers make their coaches burn challenges on plays that were not close to catches, and here we have Tyreek Hill saying, “Oh well, I’ll just catch one later.” I’m not gonna pick against that team ever.

PICK: Chiefs 34, Dolphins 20

Packers @ Lions (GB -7.5)

Sucks to suck

The Lions are now undefeated this year when Matt Patricia is not their coach. Things are really looking up in Detroit! Is it too late for a playoff run for the Lions? Probably, but it’s never too late to get hot at the worst possible time and spoil your chances at a top draft pick. This is the major upset Detroit will get to finish at 8-8! Hooray!

PICK: Packers 30, Lions 34

Vikings @ Buccaneers (TB -6.5)

This one’s for Green Bay

Don’t look now, but the Bucs are in major danger of falling out of the playoffs. The Vikings, on the other hand, are one of the hotter teams in the NFL. Every week that passes means Brady is slightly older, and it really shows as the 82-year-old has really struggled in the past couple of weeks. Now, if the Bucs lose this game, it will be time to sound the alarm in Tampa. We hate Tompa Bay, so of course we’re taking the Vikings. Also, they’re a much cooler marauder than a Buc. Scurvy is so not in.

PICK: Vikings 31, Bucs 20

Cowboys @ Bengals (DAL -3.5)

If only they knew back then.

In one of the least talked about quarterback returns, Andy Dalton returns to Cincinnati after what seemed like a dozen years of not winning a playoff game. The only thing that continues to bring me joy this year is how bad the Cowboys are. I have no idea how Vegas has them favored as they have consistently been one of the worst teams in the league all year. Maybe Dalton will have a chip on his shoulder, or maybe he’ll just suck like normal. I’d put my money on the latter. Big Cats win.

PICK: Cowboys 10, Bengals 28

Texans @ Bears (HOU -0.5)

Hilarious that they’re both “starters”

Damn, the Bears are an absolute mess. All they had to do to beat the Lions last week was hold on to the stupid ball at the end of the game. Instead, Trubisky fumbled and gave the Lions the win. Yikes. After starting 5-1 the Bears are now 5-7… Big yikes. In games against bad teams, I usually side with the better quarterback. In this matchup, Watson is greater than the monstrosity that is the Trubisky/Foles duo. Texans big.

PICK: Texans 34, Bears 20

Jets @ Seahawks (SEA -13.5)

Wait… So we want to lose?

So the Jets fired their DC after their 12th straight loss… Yes, because Gase is the type of coach who is too important to cut loose… ORRRRRRRR… Gase is needed to guarantee the Jets lose all 16 games to lock up the first pick in the draft to get Trevor Lawrence. Knowing the Jets though, Lawrence will probably wait another year to come out, which will be the biggest L they take all year.

PICK: Jets 12, Seahawks 34

Colts @ Raiders (IND -2.5)

The other time the Raiders needed a last second miracle to beat a crap team

Wow, good thing the Raiders were playing a team that wanted to lose. You know a team is tanking when they call an all out blitz on a Hail Mary. Tough stuff. Hopefully for the Raiders, they got their stinker out of the way as the Colts (and my high school JV team) are a lot better than the Jets. I think they shock the world and get it done.

PICK: Colts 24, Raiders 27

Saints @ Eagles (NO -7)

Never Forget. No, please. Don’t ever forget this.

The Eagles will be starting backup Jalen Hurts. The Saints will be starting backup Taysum Hill. It’s gonna be a crap game. Two quarterbacks who would rather be running. Great. The worst part is that a bunch of f**king morons around the city of Philadelphia are rejoicing because Wentz is on the bench. To those people, congrats. Our team is destroyed. Hope you’re happy. I also hope your Xmas tree burns down your house.

PICK: Saints 24, Eagles 25

Football Team @ 49ers (SF -3.5)

Comeback Player of the Year. Yay!

Damn, the Football Team is here to prove that you don’t need a name to be successful. This is a game that I don’t really think anyone will watch as it will be boring dump down after boring dump down. Take the under, and I guess the Football Team to cover.

PICK: Football Team 13, 49ers 16

Falcons @ Chargers (ATL -2.5)

Feels like a lifetime (and a really bad haircut) ago

LOLLLLL. Did anyone see the Chargers lose 45-0 to the Patriots??!! Wow, I bet Herbert’s wishing he didn’t hire his mom to puncture Tyrod Taylor’s lung now. So glad we broke off our man-crush with Herbert before it all went down hill. You just love to be the first to leave a sinking ship. Not only does it make you look smart, but you also don’t drown.

PICK: Falcons 31, Chargers 24

Steelers @ Bills (BUF -2.5)

Great read if you get a second

Welp, the Steelers got exposed, and the Football Team went into Pittsburgh and pulled off the upset. Now that Alex Smith has a robot leg, he’s out here setting the world on fire. Cool story. Anyways, the Steelers went 12 weeks without a loss, now they’re about to lose 2 straight. After early season hype on Josh Allen, the nation has decided to ignore him even though he’s still lighting it up. It’ll be hard to ignore him after this big win though.

PICK: Steelers 20, Bills 27

Ravens @ Browns (BAL -1)

You don’t fool me, scrub

I will bet a billion dollars that Baker Mayfiled throws more interceptions this game than touchdowns. Guy’s a clown. Can’t wait for Cleveland to lose in the first round of the playoffs, because he’s their quarterback. Also, if anyone saw on Tuesday night, the Ravens have 3 great running backs not even including Lamar. Can’t wait for them to stop Baker and put Cleveland back in its place.

PICK: Ravens 34, Browns 24

Last night ESPN’s featured Friday night Sunbelt Conference clash was a doozie. The #25 Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns traveled to Boone, North Carolina to play the Appalachian State Mountaineers. As an avid Sunbelt Conference fan, I was hyped as this was a rematch of last year’s conference championship game, and the winner would punch their ticket to this year’s championship to play undefeated Coastal Carolina. To make things even more juicy, the game was played in a driving rain storm. Nothing better than Sunbelt action in the mud!

The game was gritty and sloppy which was to be expected. Both teams battled, and for the most part, it was a fun game. With all this said, there was one star who made this game truly a game for the ages: Ragin’ Cajuns long snapper Paul Boudreaux. Before we get to the climax of this game, we have to give you all a little background to explain how Boudreaux was the star of this epic matchup.

The face of evil

Before we roast this kid too much, please remember that it was in fact a very wet day. Disclaimer aside, Boudreaux truly had an all-time awful performance. His first two long snaps sailed 20 yards over the punter’s head. His first snap for an extra point was high, leading to a botched XP, and on a field goal attempt at the end of the half, he snapped the ball well over the place holder, only to get bailed out by an icing time out by Appalachian State. It was not his night.

Boudreaux’s struggles led to what can only be explained as a bizarre finish. We fast forward to 6:36 left in the 4th with the Cajuns up 24-17.

Play 1: Boudreaux’s Last Stand

At a certain point in sports, athletes tend to get superstitious. Louisiana was in control of the game, but they were 0-8 all-time against Appalachian State. More doubt must have been creeping in as the Cajuns were forced to punt the ball from their 30 yard line. In steps Boudreaux. Surely he can’t screw up again, right??? WRONG. Boudreaux snapped the ball 30 yards over the poor punter who was forced to chase after it and kick it out of the back of his own endzone and take the safety. Their lead was cut to 5.

Play 2: Plan B: The Nuclear Option

After a big defensive stop by the Ragin’ Cajun D, Louisiana got the ball back looking to ice away the game. Facing 4th and 2 from their own 38 yard line, the coach said screw that Boudreaux kid, and left the offense on the field. It made sense as the run game was looking good, and 2 yards would guarantee a win. They line up in shotgun, and snap the ball to the quarterback who then runs 38 yards backwards into his own endzone, and takes a knee for the 2nd safety of the 4th quarter. Classic SunBelt action right there. The lead is now cut to 3 with 1:46 left…. GULP

Play 3: Alls Well That Ends Well

After the safety kick, Appalachian State drove down the field to set up a chip shot field goal to send the game to overtime. However, in a game where the special teams were not that special, you knew it wouldn’t be that simple. The snap was a little high, but the hold was managed. The kick, however, was horrendous. The ball was hooked 20 feet wide of the goalposts and time ran out to give Louisville their first win against Appalachian State. Tears were shed, and Boudreaux was carried off the field… to promptly be thrown in the dumpster outside of the stadium. Just another Friday night in the always epic Sunbelt Conference.

The Sun Belt Conference – it just means more the proper amount.

What a week we had in the NFL. The first game kicked off last Thursday morning, and the last one kicked off Wednesday afternoon. Wow! I checked the history books, and it is in fact the longest NFL week in the history of all-time. Unbelievable. I can’t stop screaming from behind the keyboard! Someone help! Here are my picks!

Jaguars @ Vikings (MIN – 10.5)

Bring back Bortles, Jags!

The Vikings looked to be poised to make a run at a third wild card spot. In order to pull that off, they’re probably going to have to win out. Good thing they have a bunch of cupcakes left on their schedule. The Jaguars are really good at losing close games. I think the Vikings win, but I don’t see a blowout. Let’s take the Vikings to win, but the Jags to cover.

PICK: Jaguars 23, Viking 27

Raiders @ Jets (LV – 8)

Terrible team

Look, are the Raiders going to make the playoffs? Probably. Are the Raiders going to win the Super Bowl? No. The Jets may truly be the worst team since the 0-16 Browns, but the Raiders are the type of team that could lose to a middle school JV team depending on the week. I really want the best for Chucky as a coach, but I don’t think the Jets are going 0-16 and this game makes the most sense for them to win. Sorry, Vegas, but you’re about to roll snake eyes. (Get it? Vegas pun.)

PICK: Raiders 23, Jets 24

Browns @ Titans (TEN – 5.5)

Stick it too them, Titans!

I’m so fricken tired of the Browns winning games. Usually when historically bad teams have great years, it’s easy to be happy for them. However this Browns team is different. Baker Mayfield is the worst quarterback in the league, and he doesn’t even have a likable personality. At least with Johnny Manziel, you knew he was a frat bro who cared more about drinking than actually playing. Mayfield feels like that, but less reluctant to just admit it. He just seems like a hardass. He’s really not likable, and I’m tired of the media trying to force him on us. The Browns would be 8-3 with me at quarterback with their defense. Hopefully he catches longterm COVID or something. Then again, given the HULU commercials he chose to be in, he clearly already lost his taste.

PICK: Browns 12, Titans 34

Lions @ Bears (CHI -3)

Join us, Nagy. The fired coach pool is warm.

Welp, we got Matt Patrica fired. You’re welcome, Detroit. Our next task is to get rid of that pesky Nagy for Chicago. Yes, he said Foles was hurt last week against Green Bay, but he still went back to Trubisky after benching him in Week 3. Horrible look. After the Bears lose to the Lions at home, he’ll probably be the next coach to be shown the door. I’ll say you’re welcome next week, Chicago.

PICK: Lions 26, Bears 24

Saints @ Falcons (NO -2.5)

Trying to figure out how the Saints gave up points to the Broncos without a quarterback

After being handed a win by the NFL, the Saints are in position to be the #1 seed in the NFC. However, they are stacking up the bad karma which is a dangerous game. From not starting Jameis Winston to allowing the Broncos to play with no quarterbacks, I foresee trouble in New Orleans, and it starts in Atlanta. Falcons with the upset win! (Plus, the Saints just always have bad luck. See: Stefon Diggs, non-pass interference, Drew Brees’ birthmark, etc.)

PICK: Saints 27 Falcons 28

Bengals @ Dolphins (MIA -11.5)

I miss Burrow so much :(

In the bleh game of the week, the Dolphins face off with the Bengals. What could have been a matchup between Burrow and Tua is instead Fitzpatrick vs. some scrub I didn’t bother to look up. I don’t think this game is being offered anywhere outside of the Miami and Cincinatti markets, so fortunately people won’t have to watch this snooze fest. Nothing more to say about this stinker.

PICK: Bengals 13, Dolphins 34

Colts @ Texans (IND -3.5)

Ew.

OOF. The Colts got smashed by the Titans. Will they be able to right the ship against the Texans? I say no! This is the game that will probably derail the Colts playoff chances as the Texans look to be a dangerous game. It’s going to go down to the wire, but I’m taking Watson over Rivers.

PICK: Colts 22, Texans 28

Rams @ Cardinals (LAR – 2.5)

Shorty, but goody.

Two weeks ago, the Cardinals had sealed a miraculous last second win against the Bills to put them at the top of the NFC West. Now they’ve lost two straight and seem to be plummeting out of the playoff race. It also seems that Kyler Murray’s MVP campaign is going to wind up being a bit short. Vertically challenged jokes aside, if the Cardinals are legit, they’ll win this one. Here’s hoping they are, cause we’re riding with them.

PICK: Rams 34, Cardinals 37

Giants @ Seahawks (SEA – 10)

Seahawks chasing down bad beats.

In the world sports gambling, the Seahawks made a lot of enemies Monday night. Up 14 with 20 seconds left, the Seahawks seemed to be locks to cover the 6.5 spread against the Eagles. What made things more interesting was that 95% of the public had bet on the Seahawks and the sportsbooks were about to take a humongous loss. However, as everyone knows, the house always wins. The Eagles pulled off a miracle hail mary, and then for absolutely no reason went for two. The meaningless 8 points led to the Eagles only losing by 6 and covering the spread… Oops. They don’t cover this week either.

PICK: Giants 23, Seahawks 32

Eagles @ Packers (GB – 8.5)

Tough game.

Oh boy, the Eagles are not doing so hot. It appears as though Doug Pederson has screwed up Wentz, and the team gets worse every week. It’s hard to talk about. Excuse me while I go sob it out in the bathroom…………. Ok, I’m back. Despite all the evidence pointing the other way, we’re taking the Birds because we have to.

PICK: Eagles 27, Packers 20

Chargers @ Patriots (LAC -1)

Fezs are so in this year, apparently?

The Patriots beat the Cardinals last week with Cam Newton literally throwing for under 100 yards with multiple interceptions… I don’t know how they pulled that off because I have basic cable in the Philadelphia region and was stuck watching Colt McCoy lead the Giants to a nail-biting victory over the Burrow-less Bengals. Thanks NFL. Anyways, I’m gonna predict that Newton throws for over 100 yards this game and the Pats pull off a slight upset.

PICK: Chargers 24, Patirots 27

Broncos @ Chiefs (KC -13.5)

Let the Broncos run free!

I demand justice for the Broncos! The Ravens contract COVID cases and their game gets pushed back 6 days, the Bronco’s entire quarterback room doesn’t even get it (was only exposed to someone who did) and they’re forced to play a game with no quarterback. The Broncos aren’t likely to make the playoffs, but they essentially had to forfeit against the Saints. That’s not cool NFL. Do better.

PICK: Broncos 13, Chiefs 35

Football Team @ Steelers (PIT – 8.5)

He’s happy to only have to play cupcakes!

The Steelers are probably the worst 11-0 team of all time. Now there is no such thing as an easy win in the NFL, but they’ve really haven’t played any good teams. Looking at the rest of their schedule, there’s a good chance that they’ll go 16-0, but what happens when they have to face Mahomes in the playoffs? I like the Steelers to win this week, but once again it won’t be done in impressive style.

PICK: Football Team 20, Steelers 23

Bills @ 49ers (BUF -1)

Kittle’s going on a boat

The two scrappiest teams face off this week in San Francisco, Santa Clara, Glendale? As of now the 49ers are a team without a home, and seem to be couch surfing around the west coast. Hopefully they don’t have to move anymore, but if they do, I have a suggestion. They should rent a cruise ship and install a turf field on the boat. Then they can play in the middle of the sea! That would be exciting! Football on water. I’m here for it.

PICK: Bills 31, 49ers 23

Cowboys @ Ravens (BAL -7)

Sucks to suck.

The one bright spot of this year continues to be the Dallas Cowboys. Just when it seemed Thanksgiving was ruined, Dallas swept in to bring joy with the most epic fake punt fail of all time. Never before has one single play led to an entire team giving up, but this fake punt truly took the life out of Dallas. They proceeded to give up 21 unanswered points to an offense led by Alex Smith. The guy who got replaced by Colin Kaepernick a decade ago. LOL. Can’t wait for them to lose again.

PICK: Cowboys 10, Ravens 31

In honor of Thanksgiving, we were going to be less negative and full of spite this week. Then, the NFL decided to postpone the only interesting game on Thanksgiving. I know it’s for a good reason because of the pandemic, but as someone who won’t see their family this year, this was just the cherry on top of the shit cupcake that is this year. For that reason, we’re going to do something different this week. No anaylsis, we’re just pointing out what we hate most about each match up and making a pick. If you don’t like it buzz off.

Texans @ Lions (HOU -3)

Poor Pencil

What we hate most about this matchup is Matt Patricia’s stupid pencil. We could have just gone with Matt Patricia in general, but there’s something special about that useless tool behind his ear. Who uses pencils outside of elementary schools and construction sites? Patricia doesn’t look like someone who knows how to write so one can only assume he has it to chew on. Absolutely disgusting, but fitting for an absolutely disgusting man. I hope he’s fired soon, so I can delete him from memory for good. That pencil won’t be able to erase your resume, Pat!

PICK: Texans 31, Lions 20

Football Team @ Cowboys (DAL -2.5)

He’s not allowed within 100 feet of playgrounds.

What we hate most about this matchup is the Cowboys. I don’t really know what more I can say that hasn’t been said over the last 11 weeks of picks. The team is horrible, the fans are horrible, and even the mascot is straight spooky. He looks like a pedophile with those big lifeless eyes. F**k the Cowboys.

PICK: Football Team 24, Cowboys 22

Cardnials @ Patriots (ARZ -2.5)

He’s not likeable

What we hate most about this matchup is Subway. Yes, we’re talking about the below-average sandwich chain. First, their mascot actually turned out to be a pedophile, then it was determined their rolls were made of too much sugar, and now they’re trying to make Bill Bellicheck funny… STOP. He is an evil man without an ounce of humor in his bones. Bring back the $5 footlongs, and go back to your fast food cellar, you disgusting excuse for a meal.

PICK: Cardinals 34, Patriots 20

Panthers @ Vikings (MIN -4.5)

Trash State

What we hate about this matchup most is Minnesota. Maybe this is still sour grapes, but their people are supposed to be “super nice,” but they’re just a bunch of babies. They still cry that they got beers thrown at them in Philly four years ago. It’s like, get over it already. Also, I was there, the cans were closed. We were sharing the wealth. All they had to do was put their hands up and they would have had free beers. Bunch of morons. Also, it’s way too cold there, and I’m not a big fan of Target. Yo Canada, want some more useless territory?

PICK: Panthers 34, Vikings 20

Browns @ Jaguars (CLE -6.5)

complete A**hole right here.

What we hate about this matchup most is Baker Mayfield’s false sense pride. When you have a plethora of weapons on the offensive side, you should score more than 10 points. Yes, the Browns are 7-3, but it’s because of their elite defense. The Browns would be better if they just ran the wildcat with Chubb and Hunt and sat Baker down. Go film more unfunny commericals, and never step on a football field ever again.

PICK: Browns 20, Jaguars 10

Chargers @ Bills (BUF -5.5)

Everyone’s reaction when they left San Diego

What we hate most about this matchup is the fact that the Chargers bolted from San Diego (pun totally intended). The move to Los Angeles is so dumb. They’ve had to play in a soccer stadium for 3 years, where no one shows up, just to be the second favorite team in their city. Horrible decisions. Honorable mention goes to Herbert’s new look. If you even want to call it that, because I sure as hell don’t want to look at it.

PICK: Chargers 16, Bills 31

Dolphins @ Jets (MIA -6.5)

Fireman Ed is out a job but Gase isnt….

What we hate most about this matchup is Adam Gase still has a job. A lot of good people lost their job for no fault of their own over the last few months, and this bumbling idiot still has a job. It’s a slap in the face to the hard working Americans across the country that are out of a job. Screw you, Gase.

PICK: Dolphins 34, Jets 17

Giants @ Bengals (NYG -5.5)

Sad

What we hate most about this matchup is Joe Burrow’s gruesome injury. What a horrible situation where the best player available to be drafted is thrown to the wolves, and has to start for an NFL team with no offensive line to block for him. Of course the poor kid was going to get crushed. Would’ve been safer for him to cliff dive without a parachute. Real shame, hopefully he can bounce back next year, and the Bengals better use all of their draft picks on offensive linemen.

PICK: Giants 23, Bengals 24

Titans @ Colts (IND -3.5)

Clash of the Titans (and Colts)

What we hate most about this matchup is the Clash of blue jerseys. This game is one of the underrated rivalries in the NFL, but I always get mad watching the two teams’ blue jerseys clash against each other in the field. Complete eye sore on the television. Three tones of blue. Gonna be a great game though!

PICK: Titans 25, Colts 24

Raiders @ Falcons (LV -3)

Unlike Aghlor

What we hate most about this matchup is Nelson Agholor. Why are you good now? Besides his effective year in 2017, Agholor was consistantly ranked the worst WR in the league due to all of his drops. Now he’s in Oakland Las Vegas and only has 1 drop and 6 touchdowns. If you’re gonna suck in Philly, you better suck everywhere else. This guy is a real joke. I’m gonna take this time to officialy put the Gator curse on him for the rest of the year. Happy Thanksgiving, Nelson. You bum.

PICK: Raiders 34, Falcons 30

Saints @ Broncos (NO -5.5)

Give the kid some love!

What we hate most about this matchup is the lack of hype surrounding Drew Lock. The kid’s a stud, but he’s lost in the shuffle of great young quarterbacks. And an injury-plagued team. It’s a real shame. Let’s see the media try to ignore him after taking down the Saints.

PICK: Saints 20, Broncos 23

49ers @ Rams (LAR -6.5)

More Cam Jansen!

What we hate most about this matchup is Sean McVay’s photographic memory. Sweet bro, yes it’s helpful, but not as useful as one would think. Now if he was a detective or a trivia master than yes, that’d be great. The benefit that it provides him as a coach is greatly outweighed by how often its talked about in the media.

PICK: 49ers 23, Rams 30

Chiefs @ Buccaneers (KC -3)

They’re both cheaters

What we hate most about this matchup is Tom Brady’s lack of sportsmanship. You would think it’s enough that he’s a known cheater that has an effinity to deflate his balls, but now he’s not shaking hands after his losses. People may argue that its due to COVID concerns, but no, he’s been doing this for a while (see: Super Bowl LII). It’s a shame that a man who’s won 6 Super Bowls can’t grow up, and be a good role model for his children (who he open-mouth kisses) and for the youth of America (as I type an article based soley around hate).

PICK: Chiefs 35, Bucs 24

Bears @ Packers (GB -7.5)

“Your Lack of Faith Disturbs Me”

What we hate most about this matchup is Matt Nagy’s lack of faith. Yes, Mitch Trubisky is not a great quarterback, but you can’t bench him in week 3 after he’s won his first two starts. C’mon man! Yes, you looked smart for two weeks, but Foles is terribe too! He couldn’t beat out Carson Wentz for a shtarting job in Philly. The Bears are mid-collapse and one has to blame Matt Nagy for the free fall.

PICK: Bears 13, Packers 35

Ravens @ Steelers (PIT -4)

It even got Austin!

What we hate most about this matchup is COVID-19. First, it took my favorite holiday from me. I was upset I wasn’t going to see my family, but I knew I was doing the right thing, and at least I had football to look forward to. Then it took away the one good game today! This really needs to be over. This is a plea to everyone. Please stay inside until the vaccine is distrubted, and wear a mask if you have to go outside, so that not too many more people can die, and we don’t have to sweat the Super Bowl being postponed. Don’t do it for yourselves or others. Do it for football.

PICK: Ravens 34, Steelers 24

Seahawks @ Eagles (SEA -5)

They make us wanna fight someone every game

What we hate most about this matchup is how much the Eagles hurt us. Please stop. My heart can’t take much more. Each game day, I wake up hopeful, put the Eagles bandana on the dog, and expect something better. Each week, I get more of the same. This week has to be different or else.

PICK: Seahawks 28, Eagles 34
