*UPDATE*

I burned the jersey.

Hi Internet. My name is MOB. And I have a confession.

Let’s start off by establishing a few facts that are very prudent to the confession. For the three of you who aren’t my parents that might have read one of my other posts, you might know I root Chiefs fan. That’s fact number one.

MOB seen wearing a Patrick Mahomes Jersey at the horse races because he was told he needed to dress up, but it was also game day

Fact number two. I love fantasy football. That’s it. That’s the tweet.

Fact number three. I’ve been known to buy knock off jerseys of players whom I’ve fallen in love with because of how they preformed for my fantasy team. Case in point. I was on Stefon Diggs before he was huge. The moment the Minnesota Miracle happened, I bought a Stef Diggs Vikings jersey without even thinking.

So you’re probably wondering, “MOB. What does this have to do with anything? You’re a pretty stereo typical guy with a really nice head of hair. None of this matters.” To which I would say, it does. Because last year, the player that caught my eye was none other than Ja’Marr Chase.

So young. So naïve.

Yep. That’s me. Donning a Ja’Marr chase jersey. So what’s the big deal? How does this tie into everything? Well, this picture was taken on December 27th, 2021. That’s right. The actual Monday before the Chiefs took on the Bengals on January 2nd, in which they lost because in large part because of *checks notes* Ja’Marr Chase. And it didn’t stop there! We all know what happened in the AFC Championship game at Arrowhead.

So I think it’s safe to say, I am the reason for the Chiefs recent struggles against the Bengals. In fact, since what I am now dubbing to be “Jersey-gate” (because I’m creative like that), the Chiefs have done nothing but lose to the Bengals. The jersey is currently undefeated. And now, the Chiefs have to travel back to where it all started and face a red hot Bengals team. And not only that, but Ja’Marr Chase is expected to make his glorious return.

So you might be thinking that I’m pompous. Full of myself. Arrogant to think that I would have any effect on a game by a dumb jersey purchase. And normally, I’d agree. But to quote my mechanic quoting JAY Z, “Men lie, women lie, numbers don’t.” I’d gladly shed this burden if I could. I don’t want to be the reason for my favorite team not going to their third straight Super Bowl. But facts are facts.

So am I nervous heading into Sunday’s contest? Yes. Am I confident that the Chiefs can prove me wrong and reverse the Jersey Curse? I refuse to answer that question. Do I still own the jersey? How dare you ask me that. But if I were to still own the jersey, and the Chiefs drop another one to the orange and black, I vow to burn it and to not allow this to happen in the playoffs again. That is, if it still exists. And I hope you, the collective internet, are there to hold me to it.

Go Chiefs.

What Exactly Did Chris Jones Say To Matt Ryan? Here Are Some Ideas https://korkedbats.com/what-exactly-did-chris-jones-say-to-matt-ryan/ Wed, 28 Sep 2022 00:47:34 +0000 https://korkedbats.com/?p=31267 The post What Exactly Did Chris Jones Say To Matt Ryan? By now you already know that towards the end of the devastating loss to the Colts, defensive end and leader of Sack Nation Chris Jones got flagged for a personal foul to prolong the Colts’ final drive. The flag was for what referee Shawn Smith called “abusive language.” Did this cost the Chiefs the game? I’d lean to saying no. There were plenty of other areas they came up short. But if that penalty isn’t called, I fell confident betting my 2016 Ford Escape (I’m blessed) that the Chiefs come away with the W.

Now, Chris is no novice when it comes to getting in the face of statuesque pocket passers. I mean, here he is jawing with Tom Brady.

And here he is jawing with Tommy Tissues again.

You get the point. The dude loves to yap. And quite frankly, I think Chiefs Kingdom loves that about him. So this begs the question, what did he say? Apparently, Shawn Smith was supposed to put the specific comment made by Jones into the official game report, which has now been filed. However, the general public is still in the dark as to what was said. So I’m here to throw a couple of darts at what I think Chris said to get the yellow hanky out of Smith’s pocket. I have handful of guesses.

“You’ve seen mine, now show me yours!”

I think asking to be flashed on national television would be flag worthy. In case you were unaware, or just didn’t believe in the internet in 2017 when Chris Jones was just a lowly prospect at the scouting combine, tragedy struck the big fella. Whilst running his blazing fast 40, our man tripped and in an unfortunate event, his man parts cam flopping out of his shorts for all to see. And I’m sure he’s tired of not getting reciprocated, you know? It’s like that episode of Friends when Chandler sees Rachel naked. Chris probably just wants to get even with as many NFL players as he can. But you just cannot make that request in front of a referee. Speaking of Friends, though…

“No Matt, you’re absolutely wrong. Rachel and Ross were definitely on a break.”

I like to think players have these types of debates during the game. When you have an opinion on something, it can be a mind game to just stay on your side for an argument. It can rattle cages. But at this point, this isn’t even a debate. 15 yards for lack of understanding the situation in my opinion.

“Matt. If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you twice. Jared Leto was the perfect choice for the Joker. He put Heath Ledger to shame!”

Honestly, if this is what was said, not only would I flag him for abusive language, but I’d consider cutting him from the team. There’s not a number of pressures, or any amount of sacks Chris could bring forth that would let me think it was okay to employ someone with such a heinous take. If this was the case, I’d flag him again at the beginning of the next game just for good measure.

“I’m telling you, bro. St. Louis BBQ is better than Kansas City BBQ.”

Look. I need to be honest and upfront with you all here. I am St. Louis born and raised. If you ask me what high school I went to, I don’t even blink when giving you my answer. And candidly, St. Louis does have some really good BBQ these days. Saying otherwise means you haven’t tried it. HOWEVER! I will die on the hill that Kansas City is the world’s best BBQ city, and saying otherwise is what I would consider to be abusive. I think Chris is smart. I don’t think this is something he would have said. But if he did, flag him for 15 ALL DAY. Then get him checked for a concussion that you can later call a “back issue.”

Until the NFL decides to let us know whether or not the flag was warranted to change the outcome of the game by releasing what was said, all we have is speculation.

So tell me, what do YOU think he said?

Welp. The Chiefs had a great run. 6 straight division wins. 7 straight playoff appearances. What more could you ask for? Too bad its all over.

You don’t go into Indy, when the roof is open, take the L and live to tell about it. It just doesn’t happen. I mean, I guess everything would have been better if the Colts were who we thought they were prior to the season starting. You know, the consensus team to win the AFC South? Instead, they were exactly who we thought they were when they tied the Texans and got trounced by the Jaguars. They ARE that team. That IS the team that showed up today. And the Chiefs let them off the hook?

So yeah. Time to pack up. Fire Dave Toub. Cut Matt Amendola. Sign him again. Then, when he’s about to board the plane to Tampa, cut him and don’t pay for his cab back whatever god forsaken land he came from. I’d rather have Danny Amendola as my kicker. Also, every special teamer needs a foot broken off in their John Brown hind parts so they can then run a mile.

How about that offense, huh? I guess Orlando’s last name is Brown because that’s the color of his pants after facing this defensive line that tied up his feet quicker than Ciara’s one two step. Good thing they didn’t sign him long term. Sheesh. And lets just go ahead and cut all the pass catchers not named Travis. THEY COULD HAVE DRAFTED GEORGE PICKENS. Instead, they have this dude who’s name is Skyy. And you know why the second “y” is there, right? It’s because he lost the first one in the sky when it was punted to him. Fire Veach. Yesterday.

As for the Defense. Well. They can stay. They played well. As long as they duct tape Chris Jones’ mouth for the next game.

Anyway. The year is over. Time to focus on getting that number one pick now.

*RECORD SCRATCH*

Did that feel good? Was it cathartic? Good. I’m glad. Now you know what the majority of my group texts looked like minutes after the scoreboard clock hit zeros.

Was this loss good? Absolutely not. But at least the best effort was put close, right? Nope. Not even close. But this doesn’t mean that the Chiefs are done. So stop it with that nonsense. No one needs to be fired. I would, however, punt Matt Amendola to the sun and just let Justin Reid kick field goals…

Anyway, just last season, we saw the Bills of Buffalo drop a game to the Jaguars of Jacksonville. You know, the team coached by the apple of Nebraska’s eye, Urban Meyer? The team that ended up with the first overall pick? Yeah. That Jacksonville. Buffalo ended up being just fine.

Another stat I’d like to bring up. In 2022, the Chiefs are 2-0 when Jody Fortson receives at least one target. So maybe just target him once in game? That’s pretty easy to do in my opinion, especially since ALL HE DOES IS SCORE TOUCHDOWNS. CHOO CHOO.

Finally. Lets not forget. The last time the Chiefs dropped their first lost of the season to the Colts in an extremely frustrating game, they won the Super Bowl.

So let’s all say it with Patrick:

Patrick Mahomes Reminds The Haters That He Doesn’t Care What They Think https://korkedbats.com/patrick-mahomes-reminds-the-haters-that-he-doesnt-care-what-they-think/ Mon, 12 Sep 2022 00:59:05 +0000 https://korkedbats.com/?p=31198 The post Patrick Mahomes Reminds The Haters That He Doesn’t Care What They Think appeared first on Korked Bats.

Omg have you seen Josh Allen? What about Justin Herbert? *enter star eyes emoji* Oh. And Lamar and Kyler. It’s just so fun to watch them scoot, isn’t it? And how about Joe Burrow? *SWOOOOON*

That’s cool. But Patrick Lavon Mahomes II is here to let those people know that he doesn’t care what they think. You like Josh Allen and his stiff arm? That’s cool with Pat. Would you rather have a running back play the part of huddle leader? Pat says, “Cool. No problem with me. Those are some great guys.” How about a to-cool-for-school hair-do to take charge? Patrick is fine with that too. Surfs up, bro.

How do I know this? I don’t. I haven’t yet mustered my way into Patrick’s inner circle. But lets look at a single fact. In an offseason where people were saying he was going to miss Tyreek Hill, and that they didn’t know what the Chiefs offense would look like, Patrick came out in his first game since Cincinnati and threw for not one, not two…Fine. I’ll stop doing the LeBron thing. He threw for 5 touchdowns. F-I-V-E. If he had only thrown for 3 more, he would have matched his 2022 Top 100 ranking.

Does the offense look different? It sure does. I mean, yeah, you still have Travis out there doing Travis things. But it’s no longer the Travis and Tyreek show. Now it’s going to be death by a million paper cuts. New rule. You have to take a shot every time an announcer says that this year during a Chiefs game. I don’t make the rules, I just enforce them.

Nine, which is also just one more than Patrick’s 2022 Top 100 ranking, players caught a pass from him today. 4 different players ended up being on the receiving end of a tuddie pass (and you best believe Jody Fortson was one of them). I’m pretty sure part of Patrick’s offseason plan included getting together with his brother Jackson, and also JuJu Smith-Schuster, and watching a boat load of those “Never Let Them Know Your Next Move” Tik Toks. Because that’s the name of the Kansas City Chief’s offense this year. You just don’t know which guy is going to burn you.

So maybe Patrick does care. Maybe he is taking meticulous notes (like Ryan Howard from the office) when he feels disrespected. Maybe he is as annoyed as some Chiefs fans when the likes of Jason Garrett (known QB guru) praises him, but still would take Justin Herbert over him. Or maybe, just maybe, he doesn’t care. Because at the end of the day, Patrick threw for 5 touchdowns in week one and made it look so easy. None of those other guys did. And at the end of the day, Patrick can smile knowing that Josh, Justin, Lamar, Kyler and Joe all go home just to pretend to be him while using his skin in Fortnite.

Hey Rex Ryan, Here’s A List Of Better Partners Than The One You Chose For ‘The Amazing Race’ https://korkedbats.com/rex-ryan-could-have-picked-a-better-partner-for-the-amazing-race/ Wed, 24 Aug 2022 22:57:19 +0000 https://korkedbats.com/?p=30982 The post Hey Rex Ryan, Here’s A List Of Better Partners Than The One You Chose For ‘The Amazing Race’ appeared first on Korked Bats.

It has been six years since Rex Ryan last coached in the NFL, so he is now shifting gears to a different competition. CBS announced Ryan will be a contestant on the upcoming season of The Amazing Race. The current ESPN analyst will partner with Tim Mann, who Entertainment Weekly says is a probation officer and Ryan’s golf partner, to form a duo in Season 34.”

via Sports Illustrated

If you haven’t heard the news, former NFL Coach Rex Ryan is set to compete in season 34 of The Amazing Race on CBS. This is extremely exciting news for anyone still living in a world where they are preparing for Y2K. With the news coming out of Ryan being a contestant, we also have learned who his partner will be, and honestly, its more disappointing to me than finding out that The Amazing Race is still on television.

Rex has decided to team up with his long-time golf partner, Tim Mann. Now, I’m not trying to disparage a man who hails from the same area as Korked Bats’ fearless leader and Brentwood Bruin Legend, Austin Huff. I’d never. Especially since I now consider myself a Nashville native, having lived here for 2 months. And I’m sure Tim is a great guy. But Rex could have picked a couple of people that would have made the viewing experience more enjoyable for the audience.

Mark Sanchez

The duo that gave us the butt fumble would have been an unstoppable force on the amazing race. Unless, of course, one of the other teams had Brandon Moore. Either way, if you get a tattoo of your wife wearing a certain player’s jersey, I think that should automatically give said player dibs on being your Amazing Race Partner. If I were in charge, that’s the first rule I’d make, right before I canceled the show. Speaking of Michelle Ryan…

Michelle Ryan

Look. This is for one reason, and one reason only. With all the running and activities done while competing on The Amazing Race, can you imagine the amount of foot rubs Michelle would need? Rex would be in heaven. They could have a weekly foot massage counter. Instead, Rex chose his golf buddy. I’m sure this won’t cut down on the number of times Rex hears Michelle say “Didn’t you just spend 4 hours on the course with Tim yesterday? Don’t you guys ever get sick of each other?” Honestly, I’m just trying to look out for Rex in this scenario.

Rob Ryan

And finally, the one I might be most upset about. Imagine the Ryan brothers running around *checks notes* Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, and Iceland, just to name a few of the places. The only reason I can think that this wasn’t Rex’s choice for his partner, is because CBS already has the pilot in the can for the sitcom they are creating revolving around these two guys. If this was the pairing, I may have actually shown up to the finish line, which will be here in Nashville.

Now, I’ll do what most people do, and probably definitely just miss the whole thing.

Do you hear that?

*chug-a-chug-a-chug-a-chug-a, chug-a-chug-a-chug-a-chug-a*

The smoke is billowing. It’s coming from what looks like a train! That’s right. It’s the last call for the Jody Fortson Hype Train. All aboard!

If you’ve followed any of Chiefs camp these last few weeks, I’m sure you’ve heard a lot about this rookie 7th-round pick from Rutgers, Isiah Pacheco. I honestly haven’t seen an unexpecting, tantalizing rookie this hyped since Dennis Quaid. And he may be great! But since I belong to the KB army, I’m contractually obligated to not only say, but believe that Derrick Henry is the only running back that matters in football. Plus, Bill Bellichick passed on Pacheco. The last time Bill Bellichick passed on a Rutgers guy, he still had sleeves on his hoodies.

So I’m here to remind you, it’s still FortSZN. Jody gained a small cult following last year, but not everyone was on board. See exhibit A from my Chiefs group text that was sent September 26th, 2021. Out of respect for this person, his or her name has been masked to spare the embarrassment.

All hail Tony Fortson. Anyway, I’m here to let you know this is your final chance to get aboard Tony’s brother Jody’s hype train. And here are the reasons why.

One. He plays a position that matters. Tell linebackers and cornerbacks good luck who are trying to cover a 6-4 226 lb. chiseled touchdown machine.

Two. Did you notice I called him a touchdown machine? In his shortened season, Jody caught 5 passes in 2021. 2 of those catches went for 6 points. And what did he do in the second pre-season game of 2022, his first pre-season game of the year? Oh, how about just his first two targets from Patrick Mahomes being tuddies. TOUCHDOWN. MACHINE.

And finally. Tyreek Hill is gone. Tyreek Hill was extremely productive for the Chiefs in the red zone. Jody Fortson is not Tyreek Hill. But he’s a big-bodied, large target who can hopefully help make up some of that lost production.

Either way, I’m still ripping tickets on the FortSZN Express. Get on before it’s too late. Our own Kenny, the Head Boi of the CineBoiz, punched his ticket.

So join us, won’t you?

Our LIVE Reaction To Will Smith Slapping The Absolute Pootie-Tang Out Of Chris Rock https://korkedbats.com/our-live-reaction-to-will-smith-slapping-the-absolute-pootie-tang-out-of-chris-rock/ Tue, 29 Mar 2022 02:23:13 +0000 https://korkedbats.com/?p=30230 The post Our LIVE Reaction To Will Smith Slapping The Absolute Pootie-Tang Out Of Chris Rock appeared first on Korked Bats.

]]>

We’ve all witnessed the slap heard round the world by now, but few of us had the luxury of actually filming ourselves when it happened. We just happened to be live-streaming during the Oscars and were lucky enough to watch Bagge Vance slap the face off of the Zebra from Madagascar.

MOB’S REACTION

So I’m just sitting there, right? Chris Rock comes out with his normal Chris Rock vibes. Loud, abrasive, but also funny. You know what I’m talking about. He cracks a joke about husbands and wives. It’s funny. I laugh. He says something about Jada Pinkett Smith. I don’t catch it. I do see Will laughing while Jada rolls her eyes. You know. A classic reaction to a Chris Rock joke. Next thing I know, I see the Fresh Prince on stage, winding up, and laying full-fledged, open-handed wallop on Chris Rock’s cheek. I do what any immature boy would do on a classic slapstick stunt. I laugh. But it’s a nervous laugh. Like, just a reaction to that kind of humor. Then, the sound cuts out. It’s like a horror movie. I’m thinking, “Oh look at Chris being Chris. Using some off-color language. He’s so unhinged, that Chris Rock is.” But then, the camera cuts to a Will Smith. It’s a silent film though. All I can do is read lips. And boy did I read his lips. “Keep my wife’s name out your f***kin’ mouth.” Instant panic ensues. And here are the thoughts that begin to race through my head:

“Was that not a bit? Was that real? Man, Chris Rock can really take a slap. This can’t be the first time he’s taken a slap. Wait, did that just happen? Oh my goodness. Are we in the Matrix? I need to hug my wife. I really hope I remembered to put the toilet seat down. Wait. Did Will Smith just actually hitch-slap Chris Rock? WHAT IS GOING ON? Am I dead? This can’t be heaven. Patrick Mahomes isn’t here and I know he’s an angel, so this can’t be heaven. I just want this to end. Wait. Will could end up winning the best actor and have to do a talking thing later. I can’t believe this just happened. I need to call my mom. Is that Questlove? What award is this? Did he win it at Army? SNAP OUT OF IT MOB! Wait. Did Will Smith, world-known singer of the classic song “Switch” where only he could famously rhyme the word ‘club’ with ‘club,’ just lay hands on Chris Rock? I should probably say something now…”

And I still feel awkward about it.

KENNY’S REACTION

If Will Smith sits back down and doesn’t yell at Chris Rock you don’t convince me this wasn’t staged. My initial thought was “Man, Chris really sold that well. How did the sound guy time that perfectly?” Once our audio went out for more than a few seconds I knew something was way off. From there we all realized what was happening. If you look closely at me you can see what “fight-or-flight” looks like; That is if you’ve never chosen fight in your life and unfortunately have nowhere to run. I was living out a beta-boy nightmare. Go ahead, go back, and watch the full VOD of our Oscar stream. You’ll notice a stark decline in content quality from this point forward. I think we were all preoccupied with trying to investigate the situation via our Twitter feeds.

7 Things Sean Payton Could Do Now That He Is Done With Football https://korkedbats.com/7-things-sean-payton-could-do-now-that-he-is-done-with-football/ Wed, 26 Jan 2022 01:14:52 +0000 https://korkedbats.com/?p=29762 The post 7 Things Sean Payton Could Do Now That He Is Done With Football appeared first on Korked Bats.

]]>
After all the smoke from the media had gotten thicker than the smoke at a Willie Nelson concert the past few days, Sean Payton finally confirmed he is stepping away from coaching the New Orleans Saints. Sean Payton doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy who can throw on a Tommy Bahama shirt and retire into the sunset. He’s a working man. He’s going to do something. And I mean more than just work in the wood shop in his back yard (though who wouldn’t be dying to buy an over priced bird house from “Payton’s Pieces” shop on Etsy). Currently, all the reports point to him joining the media. That’s such a tired act. John Madden already did it better than anyone else could hop to do it. So I’ve come up with a list of other options that might be suiting for him.

Dive Into Mall Security

Sean Payton comes from a coaching background. So you already have the necessary traits of what it takes to patrol the walkways of American consumerism. He knows how to tackle. He knows how to protect. He knows how to serve, even if it is just a suspension. He will know just what to say when those sassy mall walkers give him the faintest of lip. He just spent a year coaching Jamies Winston, so understanding how teen boys think won’t be hard and he’ll have the inside to stopping shoplifters. There is also the possibility that after spending years of showing up in games on CBS, being a mall cop could turn out to become what he’s most known for.

Join the Local Fire Department

We already know Sean can serve and protect. I could also see Sean running through fire, or getting kittens out of trees. The only thing I might caution him on this one is that this decision may not be received well by the critics. They may see it as distasteful and shot at the true firefighters who have worked hard to get to where they are. My guess is, it would come in with about a 15% approval rating. Either way, I can guarantee you it won’t be funny.

Train to be an MMA Fighter

Now, being a member of Korked Bats and our storied history with the [REDACTED] (I’m not allowed to use the name here just in case Dana White sees it and thinks I’m trying to steal his content), this one is hard for me. However. I could see it happening. You just might have to treat Payton like he’s Michael Scott and explain it all to him like he is 5.

“No Sean. You don’t pay someone to injure that guy. In this scenario, you’re the one who gets paid to try and break his body. Will you get suspended for it? No. Of course not. This is what you are here for. I promise. You won’t get suspended.”

Join UPS

No more what can brown do for you. Now, its what can Sean do for you. And you know what they say. Once you go postal, you don’t go back. Or something like that. After years and years of wearing pants, maybe Sean is ready to slap on a pair of short shorts and make sure your packages are delivered right on time, or even early. Much like a Nickell Robey-Coleman hit on Tommy Lee Lewis. The only caveat here is, he might have to become a Jets fan. And he’ll probably only deliver once.

Become a Zookeeper

If Payton is tired of working with human beings, maybe he can shift to working with animals. And if you think he’s unprepared to work with animals, think again. Lord knows after years in a locker room he’d be used to the smell. And I know what you’re probably going to say here. You’re probably saying, “Hey! If he joins the media, he’d be working with animals too!” And to that point, I say, *ZING!* GOOD ONE.

Take Dancing Lessons

Or if Payton is not looking to get back into work just quite yet, he could always take time to work on himself. He could take a dance class to impress his friends out in the club. Maybe invite Rodger Goodell to the local New York dance club and just dance the night away and he could potentially meet a girl who shares a name with a non-drowsy allergy relief brand who will love him for him.

Go on a Trip with Some Old Friends

.

Payton could always get the gang back together. He could ask Drew Brees, Jonathan Vilma, Jeremy Shockey and Gregg Williams to take a trip. Get away for, oh I don’t know, say a fourth of July weekend. And maybe, Peyton Manning will be there and challenge them to a rematch for old time’s sake. I don’t know. This is all just hypothetical. But I bet people with families would watch that, even though it doesn’t make sense.

Honestly, Sean Payton has a lot to think about. And realistically, we all know he’s going to have options. We all know Mike McCarthy isn’t long for Dallas, so maybe the former Saints coach is just biding his time. And if he does get into media, he’d probably be good at it. He can’t be worse than Drew Brees. So good luck, Mr. Payton. I can honestly say that I can definitely wait to see what you’ll do next.

How many times do you see three lead changes in the last 2 minutes of the game? It was the first time my eyes had seen it. So this game was undeniably a classic. Even still. I’m here to tell you that it could have been better. Just like the lead changes during the two minute drill, I have three specific moments/scenarios that, had they happened, would have would have been the cherry on the top of an adrenaline shot of a game.

What if the Bills had moved Stefon Diggs to Safety?

In most scenarios, a fan running on the field would have been the most talked about event at the end of the game. Since network TV doesn’t show it, these types of events are constantly blown out of proportion after the game. But with Mahomes and Allen playing Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed duking it out, Diggs’ tackle is getting lost in the shuffle. His WR stat line of 3 receptions for 7 yards didn’t add anything to the Bills offensive output. Why not try him at safety? He had, bar none, the biggest hit of the game. He might be the second best defender in the family, behind Aaiden, known defender of his favorite QB Patrick Mahomes.

What if Willie Gay Jr. actually made the biggest hit of the game?

What if Stefon Diggs’ hit wasn’t the biggest hit of the game? What if that prize had been awarded to Willie Gay Jr.? Why does this even matter? Because then I would have gotten to fire off the low hanging fruit tweet of “Man. Willie Gay just beat [INSERT BILLS PLAYER NAME HERE] like he was a Dyson.” I KNOW I’m not the only guy who preloaded that tweet into my drafts prior to the start of the game. Thanks for depriving me of that glory, Willie.

What if we got to see the Cheetah Celly?

PATRICK. WHY? You let your brother repeatedly do the same dance over and over again (even on a memorial), but you stop the guy who consistently does backflips as celebrations from doing a self proclaimed “crazy touchdown celebration”? I need this. I need to see what Tyreek had planned. I feel robbed. Release the Cheetah Cut.

Final Thoughts

I know it sounds crazy to ask for more like I’m Kylo Ren from a game that saw my heart rate maintain a 94-120 BPM through the last hour of the game. But do you know who else is crazy. KYLO REN. Never settle. Always ask for more, right? Isn’t that the American Way? Who am I kidding. This game was perfect, outside of the silly overtime rules, of course. But I’ll leave that for Skip and Shannon to yell and scream about.

Everyone knows how great of a coach Andy Reid is. His track record to this point is undeniable. Even after the 42-21 shellacking of the Pittsburgh Steelers (SORRY AD), there is definitely one thing on his mind over football.

And its food. This man loves his food. And he knows how to weave it in a press conference like Shakespeare knows how to use words I don’t understand. He may not have the trophies to put up against Belichick, but when it comes to comparing football to food, my man Andy is undoubtedly the GOAT.

I honestly think other coaches should take notes. Maybe sprinkle in a couple food anecdotes along the way. Imagine if Joe Judge had compared his football team to a Chinese buffet. You know, saying something like, “The New York Giants, and what we have going on around here, is like a Chinese buffet. I have other players who left to go to other places because they get fed prime rib there. They’re calling me weekly telling me how much they miss the culture of the buffet here. They miss the unlimited potential of a buffet.” I bet if he had taken a page out of Andy’s book, tied in food somehow, some way, he still would have been fired for this monstrosity. Food can’t save everything.

All this to say. Andy. Just a couple more wins and you can have the juiciest of cheeseburgers you can find. And even if you don’t, treat yourself for making us smile.
