The Korked Bats DO BEERS Stadium Roadie is back, and we need your help!

Each year, we’ve been adding to our map to try and get a beer pic from every professional baseball stadium in the country. Here are the locations we have so far:

From spring training to the minor leagues to even that Costco that the Texas Rangers now play in. So if you do beers at a ball game, snap a pic and send it to us at @KORKEDBEERS.

And go ahead and follow too, if you want. Your call.

We already kicked off 2023 with a beer pic from a stadium that – surprisingly – took us a while to get: Wrigley Field. But the Friendly Confines are already checked off the list. And now we just need Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati to round out the entire NL Central. So do beers and help us out this summer, you drunks!

Forget ice cream and movies … Joe Judge is getting over his New York Giants breakup with beer and pizza — and a whole hell of a lot of it!!! The former G-Men head coach — who was canned on Tuesday following two abysmal seasons with the team — ordered a boatload of ‘za and suds to his New Jersey home on Wednesday, presumably to help drown out his newfound sorrows. Pictures, obtained by TMZ Sports, show the newly unemployed 40-year-old had nine boxes of pizza as well as several cases of Michelob Ultra and Coors Light delivered to his place. We’re also told Judge had flowers arrive on his doorstep as well.

via TMZ.com

Ok, I think I now believe him that former players called him wanting to join his team’s culture. Look at these pics (courtesy of TMZ)…

Does this guy know how to party or what Gif

This also explains that 3rd and 9 quarterback sneak call. My man was probably looking to get fired, just for the excuse to throw a rager like this. Maybe the Giants should re-hire him? Sure, he’s a bad head coach. But how can you not respect how he responds in the face of adversity? And as a man who’s been fired multiple times, I’d argue there are few beers better than the recently laid off beer. It trickles down the gullet like the finest of wines. You know why? Because when your job was flushed down the toilet, so was your responsibility. You don’t have to stop at just one on a school night. You can have three, maybe five, or hell, in Joe’s case, seventeen… cases. And if you mix in some pizza into that equation, you’re basically throwing yourself an adult birthday party. Only thing missing is the bounce house… which I wouldn’t be surprised if he had delivered through the back.

Look, if women can drown their breakup sorrows in Ben & Jerry’s and wine, why can’t football coaches overcome their pink slips with some pizza and beer? Joe Judge, I’ll be honest, I didn’t respect you at all when you were coaching the New York Football Giants, but I respect the hell out of you now. Party on, Joe.

P.S. Joe, it’s well past time to take down the Christmas decorations. We’re almost halfway through January. Professional football coach or not, there is no excuse for that.

via Vegas Insider, as if the logo on the graphic didn’t already give that away.

College football playoff, schmollege football schmlayoff. Who cares about that dumb ass tournament? These right here are the most important rankings. Mainly because it didn’t require a bunch of stiffs on a selection committee to choose these rankings. All it took was some beers, some whiskeys, and maybe some Zimas. (Are Zima’s still around?) Anyway, these rankings come via Vegas Insider and you can’t argue with this. It’s science. Here are a few observations:

I’m actually not surprised Nebraska tops this list. If your college football team lost 8 conference games by one score and finished with a score differential of 0, you’d probably drink 4.5 drinks per game too. Go Big Red (Stripe).

Wisconsin coming in at #3 feels like the biggest upset here. Wisco perpetually being one of the top party schools in America paired with the fact that it’s always cold paired with the fact that their team was kind of a buzzkill this year (pun only slightly intended) just makes it feel like they should’ve been ranked higher. This would be like Bama not making the playoff. Just feels weird.

USC earned that #6 ranking based solely on their consumption of boxed wine.

Kansas football fans coming in at 7th is a shocker, just solely based on the fact that I’m surprised three people could drink that much.

Alabama sits at ninth which is nice to not see them at the top of a ranking for once.

Also, Duke? Really? 11th? In the entire country? Does their library serve booze?

I have to imagine Michigan was originally unranked, but after the champagne showers from beating Ohio State upped their average.

I don’t know what the rankings were in previous years, but I have to imagine Texas rose in the rankings after hiring Steve Sarkisian. Which will probably be the only rankings he helps Texas climb.

A few notable omissions: Where the hell are our Tennessee Vols fans? A lot of Korked Bats cool kids are VFL’s and we know damn well they drink more than most in the country. Unless they’re only counting this year, in which case, I guess it makes sense, considering most of the drinks were thrown onto the field of play. But the Vols still lead the country in mustard consumption.

How is Ohio State not listed? Cold weather fan base, just lost to Michigan, could potentially drink with their former head coach and sit on his lap.

Maybe I’m just assuming that the biggest party schools would all be listed here, but where the hell is Arizona State? Pretty sure those people have more alcohol in their bodies than blood.

Opening Day is here (at limited capacity – but hey, we’ll take what we can get right now), which means fans will be back at stadiums. This means, we actually have a shot at pulling off our goal this year.

We want a beer pic from every baseball stadium in the country.

Last year we started this project, and well, it was kind of dumb to do in a year where a global pandemic ravished the earth. So we figured we’d try again this year as more and more people get vaxed and more and more stadiums open up.

So if you hit up a game this year (or if you have in the past and still have the photo), send it to us, and help put a pin on the map with your beer pic.

Either tweet or DM it to @korkedbeers on Twitter or Instagram.

Both MLB and MiLB stadiums count, and below is an animated GIF and list of all of the stadiums we have so far:

Dodger Stadium (Dodgers)

Camelback Ranch (Dodgers/White Sox)

Busch Stadium (Cardinals)

Guaranteed Rate Field (White Sox)

American Family Field (Brewers)

Victory Field (Indianapolis Indians)

Truist Park (Braves)

First Horizon Park (Nashville Sounds)

Smokies Stadium (Tennessee Smokies)

PNC Park (Pittsburgh Pirates)

Progressive Field (Indians)

Fenway Park (Red Sox)

Here are a few examples:

This one counts because the beer is in frame.

Three weird brothers who love weird food go around and eat toasted raviolis. What?

The post Here It Is… The Debut Of The T-Rav Tasters appeared first on Korked Bats.

If you’re from St. Louis, you already get it.

If you’re not, allow me to fill you in. We here in St. Louis are known for two things. St. Louis Cardinals baseball and weird ass food concoctions. Putting provel cheese on thin crusted pizza. Gooey butter cake. Pork steaks. If it’s weird, odds are it’s popular and got it’s start in St. Louis.

Arguably the captain of Team Weird Food is toasted ravioli.

What the hell does toasted ravioli even mean? It means we deep fry some meat-filled ravioli. And let me tell you, it’s wildly delicious.

My name is Sales Guy Jeff. I’m the eldest Taster and I’ve been a part of Korked Bats for a handful of months now. My brothers (Jacob and Jon) and I are St. Louis natives and have always talked about rating the toasted ravioli in the city. So if the name T-Rav Tasters sounds like it was made up by a bunch of children, that’s because it was. My brothers and I were children when we came up with it. العاب المال So about 3-4 months ago, I pitched the idea to Austin. He loved it, and we got to work building and preparing this bi-monthly series.

Episodes will drop every other week, but we have some fun content we’re gonna share on social media in the off-weeks as well. Side note: how douchey is it to say content? Jeeze. I wanna kick my own ass.

We’ve got a ton of fun things planned for this series, including new and unique restaurants, some old St. Louis classics, special guest hosts, and a ton more. Also, now is a good time to point out that when people say “and a ton more” there usually isn’t anything more, because otherwise, they would’ve said it. But I assure you, we have a ton already planned (and some already shot) for this insane series.

Why are we doing this?

You probably think we’re only doing this because it’s an excuse to drink beer and eat t-ravs. Well………………. ok, you’re half-right. By the way, thank you to 4Hands for partnering with us and providing us with City Wide.

But there are four things, we’re hoping to accomplish with this project. Allow me to list them.

1. Help some of our favorite local restaurants get out of this pandemic

This one was the biggest thing for us. Not to get all sappy, but we don’t want to see the restaurant industry struggle. We all know how hard this last year has been for us all. We want to play a small role in fixing that. And we figured we’d start local.

And as more people get vaccinated, things open up, and you feel more comfortable, we hope you hit up some of these restaurants.

2. Raise toasted ravioli awareness nationally

Toasted Ravioli Awareness (TRA) is very important to us. People need to know what St. Louis is known for food-wise… other than the way we awkwardly cut our bagels. Toasted raviolis are the best representation of that. It’s delicious. It’s unique. It’s St. Louis.

Sure it’s made up, but pretty sure Nashville made up Hot Chicken and everyone was cool with that! موقع رهانات So let us have this, and just roll with us.

Korked Bats has a decent (and growing) national following, and we’re hoping to inform the masses about the little square pieces of fried heaven that we have here in the 314.

3. Get St. Louis to know Korked Bats a little better

Despite starting in Nashville, Korked Bats is currently headquartered in St. Louis and we felt like the best way to introduce ourselves to our own city was to do it with food.

I’m Jewish, and that’s how we usually do things in my family. You get to know people best over food. That’s what we’re doing here.

4. Find the best t-rav in St. Louis

Oh yeah. This is important too. We don’t want to stop until we hit every restaurant in St. Louis. Yes, even you Pasta House in the Southwest Terminal at Lambert.

When will new episodes drop?

Every two weeks on Wednesday, but we’ll have some fun content dropping on social media and YouTube in the off-weeks. Again, there’s that word content again. I’ll allow you all to punch me in the face at least once. كرابس

How can you follow along?

If you wanna follow us on socials, we’re on Facebook (7.8k followers), Twitter (12.3k followers), Instagram (1.3k followers), and our YouTube following sucks so please subscribe to us there as well. We’re building something cool, and we hope you guys join us for the ride.

**We have a T-Rav Tasters playlist on our YouTube channel as well.**

[divider][/divider]

We’ve been working on this project for months and are excited to finally bring it to you. Please, help us share it with friends, family, and anyone you know who loves t-ravs. Thanks for checking out Korked Bats.

Toast it.

This thing is pretty self-explanatory. A ranking of how much each team’s fan bases drinks per game, with an additional note on how much they spend per game. Let’s break this down by select teams…

Atlanta Braves

C’mon, Braves. I love you, but I’m a little disappointed. I know finishing second is kinda your thing, but with consuming alcohol?? You literally have Waffle Houses in your stadium. And we all know you’re not allowed to eat at a Waffle House outside of breakfast hours without being hammered. You better correct that this year and win it all… which you very well might do on the field too.

St. Louis Cardinals

If there’s one thing St. Louis knows more than baseball, it’s beer. How on earth did they finish fifth from the bottom? Also, only $28 on average spent on alcohol?? Did they buy one beer? I’ve been to Busch. And I’ve been in debt ever since. I never thought I’d say this, but you need to step your beer game up, St. Louis. You’re down there hovering around with the California teams. And you know they don’t drink because of gluten and stuff. I’m not mad, just disappointed. Nolan Arenado won’t be able to fix this problem.

Chicago White Sox

They actually used to be ranked 25th on this list, but then they hired Tony La Russa.

Milwaukee Brewers

How do you finish tenth in this ranking when your team name is literally the Brewers?? Ya know, ever since you took Miller out of your stadium’s name, you guys have really changed. You’ve become really American Family friendly.

Colorado Rockies

At least one beer stadium (or former beer stadium) is holding up their namesake and finishing in the top 6. Although, after the offseason we just witnessed, they may skyrocket up the charts this season.

I’m really sorry, Rockies fans. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Chicago Cubs

Look, I know I’m kinda zoning in on the midwestern darlings of Major League Baseball, but that’s only because I expected more out of you guys. I don’t expect high alcohol intake from either coast. But the heart of the country? You guys should be drinking laps around the rest of the league. Especially, you Cubs! What happened to the Bleacher Bums? Have they been gentrified along with the rest of Wrigleyville?

Los Angeles Dodgers

Look, I get it. Dodger Stadium is a stone’s throw (or a former Yasiel Puig miss-his-cutoff-man throw) away from Hollywood, and image is everything in that city. I mean, heaven forbid you drink a carb. But 2.7 drinks per game? People get more liquored up during communion. You’re the world champs. Start drinking like it.

Miami Marlins

They average 3.3 drinks per game. That means their fan buys 3.3 drinks.

Pittsburgh Pirates

Shoutout to A.D. and his Buccos. Finishing middle of the pack for this current iteration of the Pirates should feel like a huge win. I just find it ironic that their fans spend more on beer per game than their front office does on players.

Philadelphia Phillies

They finished last only because they do all of their drinking in the parking lot before the game.
